Newspapers are in many ways the ultimate primary source, the “first draft of history” recording accounts of observers and commentators as events unfold, providing political commentary and offering an insight into public opinion during particular times.

Access to online newspaper archives is rarely free. This course will provide an overview of content available at Queen’s and what you can expect when dealing with online historic newspaper archives.

Content:

  • Accessing and searching key databases at Queen’s
  • Evaluating sources
  • Citing newspaper sources in your academic work.

This session will take place via MS Teams. A link will be sent to all participants. Please book through My Future in Queen's Online.
